Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norman Call took the kick off in the first half of the match. Lorenzo Cuevas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Moss read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. After 8 played minutes Meteghan FC got a freekick which was hit by Hal Dodson. Elroy Feldman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gronlid AFC's Dannie Panetier got a free kick in the 12th minute. If Elroy Feldman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elroy Feldman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Hal Reece tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Myron Erwin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gronlid AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meteghan FC the free kick. 19 minutes into the game, one of Gronlid AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Meteghan FC. Frederick Turner stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Hal Reece. 0-1. 25 minutes into the game, Barry Hughes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Moss. Barry Hughes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Elroy Feldman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meteghan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elroy Feldman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hal Reece breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tristan Monty charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tristan Monty the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Meteghan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tristan Monty to maneuver through the defense. When Barry Hughes in the 34th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or David Moss kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 2-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Lorenzo Cuevas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Moss having to interfere. David Moss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Barry Hughes in the 40th minute of the match. 42 minutes into the match, Gronlid AFC's Barry Hughes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Moss narrowly saved just below the crossbar. David Moss made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Hughes in the 44th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

58 minutes into the match, Meteghan FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lorenzo Cuevas came free, but David Moss reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meteghan FC's David Moss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lorenzo Cuevas in the 62nd minute of play. Nestor Hinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. David Moss tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Moss showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Cuevas in the 66th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the game, Barry Hughes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. David Moss was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Norman Call had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. Gronlid AFC's Hal Reece proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Gronlid AFC from getting a goal against them. It was a penalty for Meteghan FC! For all the effort they put into the match, the Meteghan FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
