Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thibault Draper started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Whitworth AFC's Rodrick Foley got a free kick in the 5th minute. Burt Benoit was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Perry Jalbert. 19 minutes into the game, Darrin Burkhart cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Burt Benoit was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Burt Benoit came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Shalalth FC's Darrin Burkhart. But to his dismay, Darrin Burkhart quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Shalalth FC's Joel Huerta got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute Joel Huerta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Burt Benoit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burt Benoit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Huerta in the 33rd minute of the match. Gene Shepard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marlon Souplet having to interfere. If Dominique Hernandez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 46th minute, Darrin Burkhart made a precise shot to the right of Burt Benoit. Whitworth AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Darrin Burkhart in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burt Benoit prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marlon Souplet was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Gene Shepard capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gene Shepard really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. After 58 played minutes Shalalth FC got a freekick which was hit by Matthew Reeder. Joel Huerta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burt Benoit having to interfere. Darrin Burkhart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Keith Coupart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Burt Benoit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Whitworth AFC booed when Shalalth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Keith Coupart didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gene Shepard got free with Marlon Souplet in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Burt Benoit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darrin Burkhart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Huerta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Huerta in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Burt Benoit prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Whitworth AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
