Kirkella FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Erick Provencher scored to the left of an out of position Cornell Aragon, making the score, 2-0. Cornell Aragon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Phaneuf, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Lothaire Petersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antwan Hobson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eric Phaneuf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Cornell Aragon made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Erick Provencher was the one to do the kick off. Eric Phaneuf scored 3-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cornell Aragon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Antwan Hobson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kirkella FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antwan Hobson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lothaire Petersen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cornell Aragon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cornell Aragon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eric Phaneuf went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Kirkella FC's zone, Eric Phaneuf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cornell Aragon came out of the goal and Eric Phaneuf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirkella FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
