Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Félix Weathers got the match started through his kick off. If Eric Phaneuf had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gregorio Fountain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Phaneuf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Douglastown's Lothaire Petersen got control of the ball when Dave Cowan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Freeman Burch hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Dave Cowan came free with the goalkeeper in the 17th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lothaire Petersen could save by the left post. 19 minutes into the match, Douglastown's goal looked a bit too open when Félix Weathers came free, but Lothaire Petersen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Félix Weathers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lothaire Petersen having to make a save. Dave Cowan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 22ndth minute tested the skills of Lothaire Petersen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Dave Cowan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Félix Weathers in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lothaire Petersen saved Douglastown from getting behind. Ralston FC's Gregorio Fountain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erick Provencher in the 29th minute of play. Elbert Gauthier kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. If Erick Provencher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Ralston FC's goal looked a bit too open when Erick Provencher came free, but Gregorio Fountain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregorio Fountain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Phaneuf in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Douglastown booed when Ralston FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elbert Gauthier didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tracey Montes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st match minute, Ralston FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isidore Mock to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Douglastown getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Erick Provencher hit a great ball. 58 minutes into the game, Aldo Evans was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Douglastown's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ralston FC the free kick. A collision led to Douglastown getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Lothaire Petersen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Félix Weathers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 65 minutes, Isidore Mock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ralston FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidore Mock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Douglastown's Erick Provencher slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gregorio Fountain. That made the score 0-1 after 74 minutes of play. Eric Phaneuf could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Gregorio Fountain made a huge save. Thanks to some nice moves Eric Phaneuf could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Gregorio Fountain however easily saved by the left post. If Erick Provencher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ralston FC's Gregorio Fountain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erick Provencher in the 93rd minute of play. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ralston FC's goalkeeper Gregorio Fountain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Eric Phaneuf came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Douglastown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Phaneuf couldn't finish the play. The Douglastown players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
