Kirkella FC's Mitch Magee got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 36th minute Valère Joly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dong Yost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dong Yost made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mitch Magee in the 40th minute of play. When Raleigh Laird fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kirkella FC's protests and gave Raleigh Laird a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Kirkella FC got a freekick which was hit by Raleigh Laird. When Nicholas Otto came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Galiote fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicholas Otto couldn't finish the play. After the first half Kirkella FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alonzo Hill to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Galiote's Robert Connor got a free kick in the 50th minute. Antwan Hobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kirkella FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alonzo Hill was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. In the 87th match minute, Galiote was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Tilley to maneuver through the defense. Alonzo Hill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
