In the 9thth minute of the game Gavin ForestLaforest who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loverna AFC's Murray Hernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Donovan Sheridan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Murray Hernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gavin ForestLaforest fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray Hernandez having to interfere. Gavin ForestLaforest struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Murray Hernandez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lunenburg AFC. The supporters of Lunenburg AFC booed when Loverna AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Shultz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Christian Kimbrough made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 27thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Felipe Cortes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Flaherty during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Cornelius Gabriel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gavin ForestLaforest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vincent Schmitz kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Murray Hernandez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gavin ForestLaforest in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Val Ewing made the kick off in the second half. Raymon Swan charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raymon Swan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lunenburg AFC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Raymon Swan hit a great ball. Val Ewing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lunenburg AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Donovan Sheridan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Donovan Sheridan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Kimbrough in the 85th minute of play forced Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Lunenburg AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Bruno to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Cortes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Val Ewing in the 93rd minute of the match. Keith Carlton hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Horace Sheridan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
