In the 17th minute, Shawn Pool got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pierre Early stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Désiré Wesley's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After 29 minutes, Eliseo Friedman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emo and the Forestville AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Emo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Eliseo Friedman hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Forestville AFC's Wilson Villarreal got a free kick in the 33rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Wilfredo Christie managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forestville AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilfredo Christie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marc Gillespie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Grady Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute.
