Spectators: 6724 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 0) Lunenburg AFC's Donovan Sheridan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Standhope FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Barnes. Jaime Bruno's late challenge caught a Standhope FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Bruno helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Standhope FC booed when Lunenburg AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jaime Bruno didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donovan Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Lunenburg AFC's Donovan Sheridan in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Standhope FC's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to Standhope FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jimmie German hit a great ball. After 18 minutes Standhope FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Keith Carlton who took care of the corner kick. Standhope FC's Guillaume Kincaid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavin ForestLaforest in the 21st minute of play. Guillaume Kincaid stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Donovan Sheridan's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Abel Barnes hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Donovan Sheridan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillaume Kincaid having to interfere. Lunenburg AFC's Gavin ForestLaforest got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Gavin ForestLaforest got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gavin ForestLaforest recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elmer Geiger kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Gavin ForestLaforest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Guillaume Kincaid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 43rd match minute, Standhope FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Clements to maneuver through the defense. Gavin ForestLaforest took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guillaume Kincaid. Guillaume Kincaid dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After the first half Lunenburg AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apollinaire Fitch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Guillaume Kincaid managed to avoid a goal in the 51stth minute, when Lunenburg AFC's Gavin ForestLaforest fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After having played for 53 minutes, Jackson Blalock managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Standhope FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jackson Blalock was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Standhope FC's Guillaume Kincaid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donovan Sheridan in the 57th minute of play. If Gavin ForestLaforest had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Donovan Sheridan did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-2 to the left of a surprised Guillaume Kincaid 61 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Apollinaire Fitch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Felipe Cortes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. After 70 played minutes Standhope FC got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie German. Keith Carlton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Guillaume Kincaid. Standhope FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Gavin ForestLaforest managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lunenburg AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gavin ForestLaforest was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Guillaume Kincaid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Standhope FC's Apollinaire Fitch got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Gavin ForestLaforest could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Guillaume Kincaid made a huge save. Shirley Flynn lost his temper 88 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Lunenburg AFC's Shirley Flynn got a free kick in the 89th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Boyer in the 91st minute of play forced Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jackson Blalock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jackson Blalock blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felipe Cortes having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Lunenburg AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
