Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Emo's goalkeeper Marc Gillespie, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Désiré Wesley in the 6th minute of play forced Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Billy Jameson's late challenge caught a Lunenburg AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Billy Jameson helped the player get up and apologised. Billy Jameson kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Lunenburg AFC's Gavin ForestLaforest nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marc Gillespie made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 16th minute Désiré Wesley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Pool in the 17th minute of play forced Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shawn Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Emo booed when Lunenburg AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raymon Swan didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 minutes of play, Emo's Désiré Wesley made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felipe Cortes was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Désiré Wesley in the 24th minute of play forced Lunenburg AFC's goalkeeper Felipe Cortes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lunenburg AFC's Felipe Cortes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Désiré Wesley in the 25th minute of play. Felipe Cortes came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Emo's Désiré Wesley. But to his dismay, Désiré Wesley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Désiré Wesley made a precise shot to the right of Felipe Cortes. Lunenburg AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Felipe Cortes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Désiré Wesley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shawn Pool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Felipe Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Felipe Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Désiré Wesley in the 43rd minute of play. After 45th play minutes Désiré Wesley shot 1-4, a short shot which went by Felipe Cortes and just under the crossbar into goal. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Donovan Sheridan made the kick off in the second half. Lunenburg AFC's Felipe Cortes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Désiré Wesley in the 55th minute of play. After 57 minutes, Deangelo Gardner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emo and the Lunenburg AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th minute, one of Emo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Emo. The referee gave Lunenburg AFC a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Keith Carlton, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Emo's Marc Gillespie. 2-5. After 61 minutes, Keith Carlton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lunenburg AFC and the Emo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Lunenburg AFC got a freekick which was hit by Keith Carlton. With a little luck, Lunenburg AFC's Felipe Cortes got control of the ball when Shawn Pool tried to sneak it across the goal line. Désiré Wesley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Felipe Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shawn Pool in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Felipe Cortes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Shawn Pool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felipe Cortes having to interfere. If Désiré Wesley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute Billy Jameson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felipe Cortes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Cortes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Désiré Wesley in the 81st minute of play. Felipe Cortes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Désiré Wesley, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Shawn Pool was extremely unlucky when he, in the 86th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Désiré Wesley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Felipe Cortes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Shawn Pool's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Felipe Cortes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Emo played a much better game than Lunenburg AFC and deserved their victory. The Lunenburg AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
