When Val Ewing came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Loverna AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Val Ewing couldn't finish the play. Pierre Early showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vincent Schmitz in the 10th minute of the match. Vincent Schmitz scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pierre Early, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vincent Schmitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Solomon Mobley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Murray Hernandez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Loverna AFC's Murray Hernandez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Loverna AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Forestville AFC's goalkeeper Pierre Early, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Solomon Mobley in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murray Hernandez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Grady Nunn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray Hernandez having to interfere. Jarrod Barnhart charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jarrod Barnhart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot by Wilfredo Christie from long distance, 31 minutes into the match, got Murray Hernandez's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 32nd minute of the match, Grady Nunn got a very nice opportunity to score, but Murray Hernandez was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Murray Hernandez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Solomon Mobley in the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute, Val Ewing ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierre Early was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Grady Nunn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray Hernandez having to interfere. Pierre Early made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Schmitz in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Loverna AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Solomon Mobley was the one to do the kick off. If Solomon Mobley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Horace Sheridan charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horace Sheridan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 61 minutes into the game, one of Loverna AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Murray Hernandez had in the 63rdth minute some difficulties stopping Wilfredo Christie's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Grady Nunn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lloyd Singh kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Val Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Grady Nunn came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Forestville AFC fans jumped to their feet. When Forestville AFC's Solomon Mobley in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Loverna AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Grady Nunn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91stth minute of the game Solomon Mobley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loverna AFC's Murray Hernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Val Ewing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierre Early having to interfere. Loverna AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
