If Christian Kimbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marc Gillespie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Val Ewing in the 22nd minute. In the 28thth minute of the game Désiré Wesley who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Loverna AFC's Murray Hernandez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eliseo Friedman kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 38th minute there was a penalty for Emo. Alphonse Gibson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Murray Hernandez. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Loverna AFC's zone, Shawn Pool stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murray Hernandez came out of the goal and Shawn Pool tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Murray Hernandez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Désiré Wesley went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After the first half Emo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Val Ewing to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Loverna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Désiré Wesley came free, but Murray Hernandez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Désiré Wesley in the 56th minute of play forced Loverna AFC's goalkeeper Murray Hernandez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Eliseo Friedman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Murray Hernandez was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Désiré Wesley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Murray Hernandez having to make a save. Désiré Wesley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Shawn Pool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray Hernandez having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, one of Loverna AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 79th minute, Emo got a penalty, and Alphonse Gibson placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. Shawn Pool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Désiré Wesley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murray Hernandez having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Loverna AFC's goalkeeper Murray Hernandez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Shawn Pool. Shawn Pool in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Murray Hernandez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
