Barrett Corbeil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magnet FC. Ramon Hodge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Barrett Corbeil made a huge save. Hayden Paiement might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Barrett Corbeil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hayden Paiement ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramon Hodge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barrett Corbeil read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Magnet FC's goal looked a bit too open when Robin Gee came free, but Christopher Barrios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute Hayden Paiement shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barrett Corbeil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st match minute, Magnet FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lanny Gagnon to maneuver through the defense. Jacob Doty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Christopher Barrios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hayden Paiement sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Ramon Hodge got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 39 played minutes Hayden Paiement rounded Laval AFC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

In the 51st minute, Arnoldo Bowen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hayden Paiement had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Laval AFC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Robin Gee hit a great ball. Hayden Paiement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barrett Corbeil having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Magnet FC's zone, Jacob Doty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Barrios came out of the goal and Jacob Doty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the game, Raphael Daly was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Magnet FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laval AFC the free kick. The supporters of Laval AFC booed when Magnet FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raphael Daly didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Gee's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christopher Barrios firmly grabbed it by the left post. 87 minutes into the game, Magnet FC's Ramon Hodge nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Barrett Corbeil made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Ramon Hodge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barrett Corbeil having to make a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Magnet FC had played much better football throughout.
