Seating: 1739, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hayden Paiement started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Corbin's zone, Hayden Paiement stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zackary Deaton came out of the goal and Hayden Paiement tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the match, Corbin's goal looked a bit too open when Hayden Paiement came free, but Zackary Deaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corbin's Zackary Deaton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lanny Gagnon in the 9th minute of play. When Hayden Paiement came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Magnet FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayden Paiement couldn't finish the play. If Hayden Paiement had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Magnet FC's Ramon Hodge sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zackary Deaton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Hayden Paiement sped through Corbin's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zackary Deaton. Hayden Paiement struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Zackary Deaton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Magnet FC. Tytus Lukasik hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lonnie Whalen in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christopher Barrios saved Magnet FC from getting behind. If Ramon Hodge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 44 minutes into the match, Corbin's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Hodge came free, but Zackary Deaton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmar Morales made a kick off. Hayden Paiement might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zackary Deaton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hayden Paiement ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramon Hodge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Deaton having to interfere. Zackary Deaton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramon Hodge in the 70th minute. Ramon Hodge's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 81stth minute, Zackary Deaton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Jc Paquette charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jc Paquette the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Corbin got a freekick which was hit by Jc Paquette. Hayden Paiement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zackary Deaton having to interfere. Hayden Paiement might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zackary Deaton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hayden Paiement ran back to his position shaking his head. Corbin's Lonnie Whalen got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Corbin fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Magnet FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
