After having played for 5 minutes, Hayden Paiement managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Magnet FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayden Paiement was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 7 minutes into the game, Magnet FC's Hayden Paiement nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Sweeney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Gil Sweeney stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramon Hodge's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Olen Espinosa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Magnet FC's Hayden Paiement nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gil Sweeney made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. The supporters of Noranda booed when Magnet FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noble Galindo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clyde Santos got free with Christopher Barrios in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gil Sweeney showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hayden Paiement, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The supporters of Magnet FC booed when Noranda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olen Espinosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Ramon Hodge notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Noranda's Gil Sweeney. Gil Sweeney was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hayden Paiement fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Sweeney having to interfere. Hayden Paiement sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Régis Bloom to strike the kick off in the second half. Gil Sweeney made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ramon Hodge sent off a good shot on target. Lanny Gagnon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 59 minutes into the match, Noranda's goal looked a bit too open when Hayden Paiement came free, but Gil Sweeney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lanny Gagnon fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Magnet FC's protests and gave Lanny Gagnon a yellow card for diving instead. After 62 played minutes Magnet FC got a freekick which was hit by Lanny Gagnon. When Clyde Santos came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Noranda fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clyde Santos couldn't finish the play. Olen Espinosa kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Magnet FC's Ramon Hodge got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramon Hodges short, quick shot in the 71stth minute got Gil Sweeney to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gil Sweeney showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hayden Paiement in the 74th minute of the match. Ramon Hodge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Sweeney having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Noranda's Régis Bloom sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Christopher Barrios narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 84th minute, Carlo Aldridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpected shot in the 85th minute by Ramon Hodge got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Magnet FC played a much better game than Noranda and deserved their victory. The Noranda players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
