Renaldo Varner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tyree Connor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Léon Sams having to interfere. Léon Sams took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stéphane Montminy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renaldo Varner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Beiseker FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jerald Frederick came free, but Léon Sams reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Marty Coker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Renaldo Varner was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Raoul Barger struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Renaldo Varner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beiseker FC. Raoul Barger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renaldo Varner read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 98th minute of play. Curling's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
