In the 9th minute of the match Pennington got a corner. Roddickton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Shaun Edwards ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arlen Tatum received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rickie Woody tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Corentin Croteau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roddickton and the Pennington players grew even worse after the yellow card. Corentin Croteau hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 17th minute by Rogelio Rodrigues got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rickie Woody made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlen Tatum in the 18th minute of play. After 19 played minutes Roddickton got a freekick which was hit by Lucas Guilmette. Rickie Woody was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arlen Tatum showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 22 minute of play. Rogelio Rodrigues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Rickie Woody skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Alberto Robinson kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Léandre Chassé sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Roddickton's supporters rose to their feet, but Sal Ham was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Oneill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Sal Ham made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Léandre Chassé managed to get in a good position for a shot. Roddickton's supporters rose to their feet, but Léandre Chassé was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emerson Oneill breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pennington's Emerson Oneill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Pennington from getting a goal against them. Léandre Chassé succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 92nd playminute. Rogelio Rodrigues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Roddickton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pennington.
