Spectators: 6728 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 0) Griffin's Forest Bisaillon started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Morris Thacker came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the ILJ Sporting fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morris Thacker couldn't finish the play. If Sammy Connolly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 13th minute, Sammy Connolly left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Griffin fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After a rather tough play, ILJ Sporting's Ezra Overton got a free kick in the 16th minute. Forest Bisaillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Morris Thacker in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Granville Patrick saved Griffin from getting behind. Oscar Kerns received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Granville Patrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Granville Patrick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morris Thacker in the 32nd minute of play. Granville Patrick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oscar Kerns went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. 41 minutes into the match, Griffin's Sammy Connolly sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Kurt Cressac narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Forest Bisaillon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Oscar Kerns got free with Granville Patrick in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Granville Patrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Morris Thacker, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 57th minute, Oscar Kerns got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st match minute, ILJ Sporting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Chauvin to maneuver through the defense. Granville Patrick made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oscar Kerns in the 65th minute. Kurt Cressac took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Connolly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oscar Kerns sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morris Thacker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Griffin's Granville Patrick got control of the ball when Oscar Kerns tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th match minute, ILJ Sporting was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruce Bailey to maneuver through the defense. Lino Fisher, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After having played for 91 minutes, Morris Thacker managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ILJ Sporting's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morris Thacker was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Morris Thacker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Granville Patrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. ILJ Sporting's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
