Spectators: 6733 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Burl Cyr kicked off to start the match. Burl Cyr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dwain Eaton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. George Richardson kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Woking's zone, Mikel Edmondson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leopoldo Powers came out of the goal and Mikel Edmondson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 19 minutes into the match, Leandro Saucedo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lucerne's Dwain Eaton. Dwain Eaton was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Burl Cyr's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dwain Eaton read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Dwain Eaton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Burl Cyr in the 28th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mikel Edmondson in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Powers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burl Cyr in the 34th minute of play forced Lucerne's goalkeeper Dwain Eaton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Woking's Osvaldo Kearns suffered a concussion in the 37th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 37 minutes of play Lucerne's George Richardson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 38 played minutes Lucerne got a freekick which was hit by George Richardson. Clemente Mayo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Leopoldo Powers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lucerne. If Mikel Edmondson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 53 played minutes Woking got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Finley. If Clemente Mayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Saucedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Noah Boone charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Noah Boone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 63 played minutes Lucerne got a freekick which was hit by Noah Boone. Leandro Saucedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 minutes, Chance Burkhart mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lucerne and the Woking players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 67th minute, Chance Burkhart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leandro Saucedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Dwain Eaton made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leandro Saucedo got free with Dwain Eaton in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mikel Edmondson's late challenge caught a Woking's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mikel Edmondson helped the player get up and apologised. When Leandro Saucedo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Woking fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leandro Saucedo couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Leandro Saucedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Clemente Mayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Woking had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
