With a little luck, Villers AFC's Zachariah Pineda got control of the ball when Kip Cardenas tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Lyndon Boisvert took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Zachariah Pineda to make any attempt to save it. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

61 minutes into the match, Villers AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Kip Cardenas came free, but Zachariah Pineda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joan Foreman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robby Hinojosa, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Kip Cardenas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored HEC Montreal's protests and gave Emon Bolduc a yellow card for diving instead. 83 minutes into the game, Hans Villalobos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HEC Montreal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Villers AFC the free kick. After 83 played minutes HEC Montreal got a freekick which was hit by Hans Villalobos. If Lyndon Boisvert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Villers AFC's zone, Emon Bolduc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zachariah Pineda came out of the goal and Emon Bolduc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Villers AFC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for HEC Montreal.
