Spectators: 6725 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Lyndon Boisvert started the match with the kick off. The supporters of HEC Montreal booed when Otis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Clayton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lyndon Boisvert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Géraud Henley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rupert Conroy hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Otis's goal looked a bit too open when Lyndon Boisvert came free, but Géraud Henley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute Kip Cardenas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Géraud Henley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in HEC Montreal's zone, Clay Nixon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joan Foreman came out of the goal and Clay Nixon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silas Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Joan Foreman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, HEC Montreal's Kip Cardenas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Géraud Henley narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 26 minutes, Rupert Conroy mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Otis and the HEC Montreal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Otis getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Rupert Conroy hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lyndon Boisvert in the 29th minute of play forced Otis's goalkeeper Géraud Henley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silas Pitts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joan Foreman having to interfere. Clay Nixon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lyndon Boisvert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Géraud Henley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Géraud Henley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lyndon Boisvert, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Clay Nixon to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Clay Nixon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joan Foreman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clay Nixon in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joan Foreman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind HEC Montreal's goalkeeper Joan Foreman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to HEC Montreal getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gus Haynes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Clay Nixon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otis's supporters rose to their feet, but Clay Nixon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joan Foreman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the match, Silas Pitts had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joan Foreman. HEC Montreal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silas Pitts was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Silas Pitts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes HEC Montreal got a freekick which was hit by Diodore Fréchette. Silas Pitts received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Joan Foreman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Otis's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
