Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lyndon Boisvert took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute Toussaint Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joan Foreman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toussaint Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Argenta's zone, Lyndon Boisvert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christopher Payton came out of the goal and Lyndon Boisvert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kip Cardenas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Christopher Payton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damian Hebert charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Damian Hebert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Argenta got a freekick which was hit by Damian Hebert. A hard shot by Paschal Timmons from long distance, 17 minutes into the match, got Christopher Payton's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Christopher Payton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lyndon Boisvert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hans Villalobos hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Argenta's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Emon Bolduc fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kip Cardenas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Steven Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in HEC Montreal's zone, Steven Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joan Foreman came out of the goal and Steven Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joan Foreman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steven Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lyndon Boisvert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christopher Payton having to interfere. A collision led to Argenta getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Ernesto Riggs hit a great ball. HEC Montreal's Kip Cardenas got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of HEC Montreal booed when Argenta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Riggs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joan Foreman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steven Sousa in the 45th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Lyndon Boisvert in the 52nd minute of play forced Argenta's goalkeeper Christopher Payton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lyndon Boisvert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Steven Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Lyndon Boisvert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 71 minutes HEC Montreal's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ernie Carrillo who took care of the corner kick. Ernie Carrillo made a great header on Argenta's corner, it was just that HEC Montreal's Joan Foreman managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, HEC Montreal's Joan Foreman got control of the ball when Toussaint Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 76th minute of the match Argenta got a corner. HEC Montreal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernie Carrillo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Toussaint Duarte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Joan Foreman made a huge save. The Argenta players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
