Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Darnell Carrier took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Widewater defense, Barton Holloway kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paul Rutherford. The Widewater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paul Rutherford should have stopped the shot. Bruce McGraw succeeded in the game's 8th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After 10 minutes, Isreal Carver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Koartac AFC and the Widewater players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Koartac AFC's Isreal Carver got a free kick in the 11th minute. Minh Thomson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffery Riddle having to interfere. Jeffery Riddle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce McGraw in the 20th minute of the match. Marcel Prince who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Jeffery Riddle when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Marcel Prince had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeffery Riddle stood somewhat misplaced when Bruce McGraw came free in front of goal and shot 2-1 to the left of him in the 33 minute. 37 minutes into the match, Widewater's Bruce McGraw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeffery Riddle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edgardo Jaramillo kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Marcos Greer hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 43rd minute by Marcel Prince got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bruce McGraw to make the kick off. Marcel Prince received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Jeffery Riddle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Edgardo Jaramillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the match Raymundo Verreau shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeffery Riddle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Bruce McGraw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeffery Riddle having to interfere. Donny Clayton hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. If Marcel Prince had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Widewater's Paul Rutherford got control of the ball when Barton Holloway tried to sneak it across the goal line. 79 minutes into the game, Minh Thomson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Widewater's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Koartac AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Widewater's Minh Thomson got a free kick in the 79th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Bruce McGraw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Widewater's supporters rose to their feet, but Bruce McGraw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeffery Riddle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeffery Riddle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Prince, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Barton Holloway sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Widewater had played much better football throughout.
