Mickey Léveillé didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kanaaupscow. Shayne Parson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Léveillé having to interfere. Norbert McCauley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Léveillé having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shayne Parson to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Bassano's Bart Iverson got a free kick in the 52nd minute. With his leg Mickey Léveillé managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Kanaaupscow's Norbert McCauley fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shayne Parson in the 57th minute of play forced Bassano's goalkeeper Mickey Léveillé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brain Chang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sal Mejia, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Bassano's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Shayne Parson scored to the left of an out of position Mickey Léveillé, making the score, 1-1. Norbert McCauley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Léveillé having to interfere. The supporters of Kanaaupscow booed when Bassano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barney Collins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bassano's Mickey Léveillé played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shayne Parson in the 70th minute of play. After 75 minutes Kanaaupscow's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Carter Thorpe who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Carter Thorpe almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Kanaaupscow's Brain Chang did a great save. Shayne Parson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Mickey Léveillé tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, Bassano's goalkeeper Mickey Léveillé had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norbert McCauley. Norbert McCauley received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mickey Léveillé came out and tried to block the shot, but Norbert McCauley slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 83rd minute. Brain Chang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Henry in the 92nd minute of the match. Bassano's Sal Mejia got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Victor Henry managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bassano's supporters rose to their feet, but Victor Henry was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brain Chang breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kanaaupscow walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
