Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Widewater's Bruce McGraw started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Josh Peck charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Josh Peck the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Widewater getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Josh Peck hit a great ball. In the 6th minute Bruce McGraw shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickey Léveillé saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Marcos Greer fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Widewater's protests and gave Marcos Greer a yellow card for diving instead. In the 9th minute, Marcos Greer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruce McGraw received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mickey Léveillé came out and tried to block the shot, but Bruce McGraw slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 14th minute. Mickey Léveillé showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruce McGraw, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bruce McGraw in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mickey Léveillé prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bart Iverson hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Bart Iverson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Paul Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bart Iverson fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bassano's protests and gave Bart Iverson a yellow card for diving instead. Bart Iverson hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. If Marcel Prince had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mickey Léveillé took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce McGraw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruce McGraw in the 40th minute of play forced Bassano's goalkeeper Mickey Léveillé to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Prince who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Mickey Léveillé when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Mickey Léveillé took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruce McGraw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The supporters of Widewater booed when Bassano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carter Thorpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mickey Léveillé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce McGraw in the 52nd minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Widewater's Marcel Prince nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mickey Léveillé made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. If Bruce McGraw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the game, Bruce McGraw was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Widewater's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bassano the free kick. After 61 played minutes Widewater got a freekick which was hit by Bruce McGraw. Mickey Léveillé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce McGraw in the 63rd minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, Widewater's Marcel Prince sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mickey Léveillé narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Widewater booed when Bassano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bart Iverson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Bruce McGraw ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mickey Léveillé was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When Marcel Prince came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Widewater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcel Prince couldn't finish the play. Widewater's Minh Thomson got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Bassano booed when Widewater was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Prince didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Marcel Prince left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Widewater fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. After having played for 89 minutes, Marcel Prince managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Widewater's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcel Prince was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Joe Daviau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes, Widewater's Raymundo Verreau shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mickey Léveillé came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Widewater reached it. Mickey Léveillé made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce McGraw in the 94th minute of play. Widewater walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
