After a defensive mix-up in Athalmer AFC's zone, Julian Brault stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walton Deaton came out of the goal and Julian Brault tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lucien Coyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walton Deaton having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Paul Bennett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Julian Brault managed to get in a good position for a shot. Haleys AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Julian Brault was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Walton Deaton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Haleys AFC's Buddy Monty proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Haleys AFC from getting a goal against them. If Julian Brault had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th match minute, Athalmer AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paul Bennett to maneuver through the defense. Lucien Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Walton Deaton made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Quentin Ray sent off a good shot on target. Julian Brault sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Foster Kimbrough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
