In the 10th minute, Leslieville's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Julian Brault fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Leslieville's Léon Clément played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Coyle in the 13th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Leslieville's Ward Andrews got a free kick in the 38th minute. Haleys AFC's Lucien Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Leslieville's zone, Ruben Gosselin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Léon Clément came out of the goal and Ruben Gosselin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Léon Clément took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien Coyle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Buddy Monty made an important save on a dangerous shot by Firmin Faucher in the 56th minute. Firmin Faucher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leslieville's Léon Clément played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien Coyle in the 90th minute of play. The Leslieville players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
