After a defensive mix-up in Athalmer AFC's zone, Blaine McGuire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Walton Deaton came out of the goal and Blaine McGuire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Blaine McGuire scored 0-1 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Walton Deaton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Athalmer AFC booed when Dinorwic AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arlie Osborn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eustache Weiss sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 22 minutes into the game, Andreas Hooker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dinorwic AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athalmer AFC the free kick. After 22 played minutes Dinorwic AFC got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Hooker. In the 22nd minute of the match Paul Bennett shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gabriel McKenzie showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gabriel McKenzie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renard Shook, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 26th minute, Foster Kimbrough got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Foster Kimbrough had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Foster Kimbrough got free with Gabriel McKenzie in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabriel McKenzie went to the wrong direction when Paul Bennett was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Walton Deaton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Blaine McGuire, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blaine McGuire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Dinorwic AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Renard Shook's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gabriel McKenzie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Dinorwic AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Renard Shook came free, but Gabriel McKenzie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Dinorwic AFC's goalie and right to Jess Putnam. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Dinorwic AFC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. A collision led to Athalmer AFC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Jamie Bruner hit a great ball. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Athalmer AFC's goalkeeper Walton Deaton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Athalmer AFC's goalkeeper Walton Deaton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Blaine McGuire. 74 minutes into the match, Renard Shook notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Dinorwic AFC's Gabriel McKenzie. Gabriel McKenzie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eustache Weiss struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Walton Deaton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dinorwic AFC. Renard Shook struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Eustache Weiss received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Walton Deaton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th minute, Blaine McGuire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Eustache Weiss kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Walton Deaton. That made the score 1-3 in the 90 minute of play. Dinorwic AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
