The tension between the Athalmer AFC and the Charlemagne FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Athalmer AFC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Fernando Lockwood hit a great ball. When Chester Barber came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Charlemagne FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chester Barber couldn't finish the play. Foster Kimbrough who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Christian Warner when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Christian Warner didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Charlemagne FC's goalkeeper Christian Warner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Charlemagne FC's zone, Renard Shook stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Foster Kimbrough fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Warner having to interfere. Chester Barber sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute, Brett Tatum hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jamie Bruner kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Kirk Dorsey took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Walton Deaton. Athalmer AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Renard Shook to make the kick off. Walton Deaton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chester Barber in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renard Shook in the 72nd minute of play forced Charlemagne FC's goalkeeper Christian Warner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Damien Harper kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Renard Shook had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. Christian Warner had in the 83rdth minute some difficulties stopping Paul Bennett's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Athalmer AFC's Paul Bennett nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Warner made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Renard Shook fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Warner having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Athalmer AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Charlemagne FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
