Lothaire Pepper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Edgard Gabriaux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Troy booed when Moha AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lindsey Fontenot didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moha AFC's Edgard Gabriaux proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Moha AFC from getting a goal against them. Troy's Kris McCormick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Keenan Orr in the 11th minute of play. If Keenan Orr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris McCormick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Keenan Orr, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 21st minute, Dewayne Bowles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 25th minute, Isidro Chase ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kris McCormick was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Keenan Orr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Moha AFC's Morris Stallings got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 36 played minutes, Moha AFC's Clemente Duncan shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Kris McCormick came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Moha AFC reached it. If Isidro Chase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Isidro Chase charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Chase the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Moha AFC got a freekick which was hit by Isidro Chase. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Keenan Orr was the one to do the kick off. Kris McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Keenan Orr in the 53rd minute of the match. With a little luck, Troy's Kris McCormick got control of the ball when Isidro Chase tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Jarrod Albrecht fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Troy's protests and gave Jarrod Albrecht a yellow card for diving instead. In the 55th minute, Jarrod Albrecht hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Troy's zone, Keenan Orr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kris McCormick came out of the goal and Keenan Orr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 64th minute, Isidro Chase made a precise shot to the right of Kris McCormick. Troy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Moha AFC's Keenan Orr got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Troy's zone, Keenan Orr stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kris McCormick came out of the goal and Keenan Orr tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Moha AFC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Isidro Chase hit a great ball. Dewayne Bowles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, one of Moha AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Moha AFC. When the match was over Moha AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Troy throughout the match.
