The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kris McCormick showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Carlisle in the 5th minute of the match. In the 9th minute, Sidney Carlisle made a precise shot to the right of Kris McCormick. Troy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewayne Bowles in the 15th minute of play forced Spillimacheen FC's goalkeeper Derek Guerrero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Troy getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Jarrod Albrecht hit a great ball. Kris McCormick didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Carlisle went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Branden Huntley during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Spillimacheen FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Branden Huntley hit a great ball. Randall Mayfield, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Spillimacheen FC's Derek Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dewayne Bowles in the 33rd minute of play. Derek Guerrero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewayne Bowles in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Dewayne Bowles made the kick off in the second half. Sidney Carlisle struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Kris McCormick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spillimacheen FC. Troy's Dewayne Bowles got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Derek Guerrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dewayne Bowles, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 66th minute of the match Rolf Hull shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kris McCormick showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Spillimacheen FC's Derek Guerrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lothaire Pepper in the 68th minute of play. Lothaire Pepper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elroy Dempsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Kris McCormick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rolf Hull during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Justin Diamond missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 77 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Derek Guerrero right hand side. Sidney Carlisle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Lothaire Pepper managed to get in a good position for a shot. Troy's supporters rose to their feet, but Lothaire Pepper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Derek Guerrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dewayne Bowles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Derek Guerrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94thth minute of the game Elroy Dempsey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Troy's Kris McCormick was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Spillimacheen FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
