The audience thought a goal was coming when Philibert Gage got free with Vincenzo Keys in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Entwistle's Bruce Stokes got a free kick in the 12th minute. Vincenzo Keys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Moquin in the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, Eric Moquin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vincenzo Keys, 1-0. Bruce Stokes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 23rd minute, Ahmad Francoeur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vincenzo Keys made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philibert Gage in the 25th minute. Edmonton Ice FC's Vincenzo Keys played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Moquin in the 29th minute of play. After 33 played minutes Edmonton Ice FC got a freekick which was hit by Brooks Desforges. Vincenzo Keys showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stan Espinosa in the 34th minute of the match. When Bret Beauchemin came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Edmonton Ice FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bret Beauchemin couldn't finish the play. If Bret Beauchemin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Eric Moquin scored 2-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincenzo Keys, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 84 minutes, Philibert Gage managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Entwistle's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philibert Gage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 85th minute, Eric Moquin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bret Beauchemin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Moquin in the 90th minute of play forced Edmonton Ice FC's goalkeeper Vincenzo Keys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vincenzo Keys showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bert Pouchard, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. After some careless play in the Edmonton Ice FC defense, Bruce Stokes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vincenzo Keys. The Edmonton Ice FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vincenzo Keys should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Edmonton Ice FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Entwistle.
