In the 13th minute, Rosendo Jarrell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ward Roper sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosendo Jarrell in the 18th minute of play forced Carmanville's goalkeeper Gilles Aponte to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the match, Castor AFC's goalkeeper Louis Bingham had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rickie Barrière. Louis Bingham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickie Barrière in the 25th minute. Louis Bingham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Huddleston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Carmanville's Alan Herring to fire away a dangerous shot which Louis Bingham despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Louis Bingham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Troy Huddleston, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Rosendo Jarrell might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilles Aponte. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Jarrell ran back to his position shaking his head. Troy Huddleston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Louis Bingham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Louis Bingham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Troy Huddleston, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Gilles Aponte didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 55th minute, which inside left pole to 0-1. Louis Bingham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ward Roper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilles Aponte having to interfere. Ward Roper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute, Rocco Maloney hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
