Spectators: 6726 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) Earnest Devine made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Gifford in the 4th minute of play. After 5 minutes of play, Fawcett's Vito Kellogg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Earnest Devine was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 13th minute Vito Kellogg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earnest Devine saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerry Gifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Earnest Devine took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vito Kellogg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 24thth minute of the game Mickey Grondin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fawcett's Rex Saucedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fidel Manuel took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rex Saucedo. Rex Saucedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Fidel Manuel struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Rex Saucedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maynooth. Fidel Manuel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Rex Saucedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mickey Grondin struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Rex Saucedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maynooth. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Fawcett's Vito Kellogg got a free kick in the 53rd minute. If Mickey Grondin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 59th minute Mickey Grondin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rex Saucedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Sal Trent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fawcett's Rex Saucedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mickey Grondin in the 61st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Maynooth's zone, Jerry Gifford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Earnest Devine came out of the goal and Jerry Gifford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Sal Trent fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fawcett's protests and gave Sal Trent a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67th match minute, Fawcett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sal Trent to maneuver through the defense. Mickey Grondin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Saucedo having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Jerry Gifford ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Earnest Devine was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Vito Kellogg kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jesus Hahn during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Jerry Gifford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Vito Kellogg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 95th minute, Darnell Barajas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerry Gifford in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Earnest Devine, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.
