Palmer Brooks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 18 minutes into the game, Reginald Marcheterre cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Palmer Brooks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lamar Boggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Carlos Thomason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Howard Mayberry notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cranbrook FC's Carlos Thomason. Carlos Thomason was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hunter Guay blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Palmer Brooks having to make a save. Cranbrook FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Émile Hopkins in the 42nd minute. After a rather tough play, Newark AFC's Yong Autier got a free kick in the 45th minute. If Hunter Guay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The wind increased when Reginald Marcheterre made the kick off in the second half. Cranbrook FC's Reginald Marcheterre got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 played minutes Newark AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lucien Labelle. Newark AFC's Palmer Brooks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginald Marcheterre in the 61st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hunter Guay in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Palmer Brooks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Howard Mayberry had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Thomason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Howard Mayberry in the 68th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Howard Mayberry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Thomason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joseph Gates received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Carlos Thomason tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicolas Goode charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Goode the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 75 played minutes Cranbrook FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Goode. In the 80th minute, Lamar Boggs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carlos Thomason was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Joseph Gates charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joseph Gates the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joseph Gates hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match.
