The referee gave Humbermouth AFC a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Scotty Colvin, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cottonwood FC's Gilbert Minton. 0-1. Harlan Inman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Minton having to interfere. Cottonwood FC's Gilbert Minton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harlan Inman in the 15th minute of play. The Humbermouth AFC fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Humbermouth AFC's Harlan Inman looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Rudolph Haywood successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gilbert Minton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harlan Inman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harlan Inman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Gilbert Minton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Acevedo during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 33 played minutes Cottonwood FC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Acevedo. Harlan Inman might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilbert Minton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harlan Inman ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Curtis Robbins managed to get in a good position for a shot. Humbermouth AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Curtis Robbins was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilbert Minton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clyde Ryder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolph Haywood having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Damon Ware's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rudolph Haywood was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Curtis Robbins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cottonwood FC's Gilbert Minton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Curtis Robbins in the 47th minute of play.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 53 minutes into the game, when Bret Barrera put in a rough tackle. In the 53rd minute, one of Cottonwood FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cottonwood FC. With an all-out effort, Humbermouth AFC's Gilbert Minton threw himself towards the right post 58 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Harlan Inman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gilbert Minton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harlan Inman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clyde Ryder struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rudolph Haywood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cottonwood FC. Curtis Robbins's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Gilbert Minton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Humbermouth AFC booed when Cottonwood FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Ernst didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 84 in the game by Curtis Robbins from a close distance when the talented Gilbert Minton managed to make a qualified save. Cottonwood FC's players were relieved. Norris Pollock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Gilbert Minton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Cottonwood FC's Gilbert Minton got control of the ball when Curtis Robbins tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Cottonwood FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Damon Ware hit a great ball. Emon Ames hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Humbermouth AFC's Scotty Colvin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cottonwood FC. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Humbermouth AFC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
