In the 5th minute Mike McClellan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jefferson Steiner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Hoosier's goal looked a bit too open when Ryan Randle came free, but Dalton Yeager reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Timmy Avery had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jefferson Steiner. Stoughton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmy Avery was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Ryan Randle struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dalton Yeager didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stoughton. The supporters of Stoughton booed when Hoosier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Haskins didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Timmy Avery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ryan Randle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dalton Yeager tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Stoughton fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Stoughton's Ryan Randle looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Mike McClellan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Steiner having to interfere. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mike McClellan to make the kick off. A collision led to Stoughton getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Tony Nickerson hit a great ball. Jefferson Steiner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike McClellan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyril McManus's late challenge caught a Stoughton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cyril McManus helped the player get up and apologised. Cyril McManus hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Stoughton's Jimmie Kohler broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 75th match minute, Hoosier was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Haskins to maneuver through the defense. Hoosier's Dalton Yeager played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roberto Waters in the 76th minute of play. When Stoughton's Roberto Waters in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hoosier's goalie prevented a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Stoughton's goal looked a bit too open when Timmy Avery came free, but Jefferson Steiner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
