Spectators: 6722 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfred McClain made the kick off which started today's match. Danny Leroux showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shawn Stout in the 3rd minute of the match. Elbert Béland took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vern Smiley. Hecate FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alfred McClain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Essex's goal looked a bit too open when Shawn Stout came free, but Danny Leroux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Désiré Rowland took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danny Leroux. Danny Leroux dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Essex's zone, Désiré Rowland stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danny Leroux came out of the goal and Désiré Rowland tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evan Pugh kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Philibert Trotter hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Essex's Ariel Goins broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hecate FC's Désiré Rowland got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Désiré Rowland's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Danny Leroux skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 42nd minute, Shawn Stout got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Philibert Trotter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Danny Leroux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Malcolm Dalton kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Shawn Stout to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Hecate FC's zone, Alfred McClain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vern Smiley came out of the goal and Alfred McClain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Grover Rocher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Shawn Stout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Désiré Rowland might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danny Leroux. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Désiré Rowland ran back to his position shaking his head. Danny Leroux took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Désiré Rowland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Désiré Rowland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Désiré Rowland came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Hecate FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Désiré Rowland couldn't finish the play. Désiré Rowland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Danny Leroux having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Jamaal Boykin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Essex's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jamaal Boykin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vern Smiley was out of position in the 96 minute of play, and Alfred McClain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alfred McClain really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
