Gratien Hastings came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Gallows AFC's Lon Morrison. But to his dismay, Lon Morrison quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Lon Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Gratien Hastings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rdth minute of the game Mohammed Bédard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montreal BJK's Gratien Hastings was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Elliot Blalock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montreal BJK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gallows AFC the free kick. After 27 played minutes Montreal BJK got a freekick which was hit by Elliot Blalock. The supporters of Montreal BJK booed when Gallows AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarvis Beauchamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramon Maddox took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonathan Ulrich. Gallows AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Augustine McConnell ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ulrich was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lon Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gratien Hastings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 43 minutes, Brant Squires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montreal BJK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brant Squires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Augustine McConnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Brant Squires made the kick off in the second half. If Augustine McConnell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 53 minutes into the match, Gallows AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Augustine McConnell came free, but Jonathan Ulrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Lon Morrison came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Gallows AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lon Morrison couldn't finish the play. Mohammed Bédard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gratien Hastings having to interfere. Lon Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Gratien Hastings tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Gallows AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Squires came free, but Jonathan Ulrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gratien Hastings showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lon Morrison in the 91st minute of the match.
