In the 6th minute Dante Hutchison shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Milan Huard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milan Huard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jack Holman's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After 14 played minutes Harptree got a freekick which was hit by Royal Richmond. The audience was convinced that Jack Holman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Milan Huard was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Vespasien Zimmer's late challenge caught a Harptree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vespasien Zimmer helped the player get up and apologised. Vespasien Zimmer hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. A collision led to Paulatuk AFC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Vespasien Zimmer hit a great ball. Milan Huard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Hutchison in the 29th minute of play. Dino Hunt might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Riddle. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dino Hunt ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Harptree's Andres Riddle got control of the ball when Dino Hunt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Royal Richmond charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Royal Richmond the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 38th match minute, Harptree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Royal Richmond to maneuver through the defense. Dino Hunt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Jack Holman made the kick off in the second half. After 56 played minutes, Paulatuk AFC's Albert Perreault shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andres Riddle came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Paulatuk AFC reached it. The supporters of Paulatuk AFC booed when Harptree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Royal Richmond didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Holman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Milan Huard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 63 minutes into the game, Jack Holman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Milan Huard. Jack Holman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Milan Huard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Holman in the 67th minute of the match. Dino Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andres Riddle having to interfere. The supporters of Paulatuk AFC booed when Harptree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Garrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Royal Richmond was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 74 minutes had been played. Royal Richmond hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 79 minutes, Jack Holman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Harptree and the Paulatuk AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Harptree's Jack Holman got a free kick in the 79th minute. A collision led to Paulatuk AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Basile Strange hit a great ball. Andres Riddle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dino Hunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Hutchison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Harptree walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
