Hagersville AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johnny McNair was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hagersville AFC's Johnny McNair managed to work through Kegashka's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Johnny McNair who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kegashka's Jeramy Jefferson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jeramy Jefferson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnny McNair in the 42nd minute of play. Johnny McNair received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jeramy Jefferson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcellin Frye struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jeramy Jefferson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hagersville AFC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sammy Chaney was the one to do the kick off.
