Seating: 1718, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Thanh Vera started the match with the kick off. With his leg Dudley Chavis managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Anson's Isaiah Morrison fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 7th minute, Isaiah Morrison got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 9 minutes into the match, Thanh Vera had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sterling Weller. Anson's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thanh Vera was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The audience was convinced that Eloy Richmond's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sterling Weller was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Patricia Trejo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Dudley Chavis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Drinkwater AFC's Thanh Vera in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Anson's goalie prevented a goal. Anson's Patricia Trejo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanh Vera might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sterling Weller. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Thanh Vera ran back to his position shaking his head. 29 minutes into the game, Eloy Richmond cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sterling Weller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Patricia Trejo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dudley Chavis. That made the score 1-2 in the 33 minute of play. Isaiah Morrison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Dudley Chavis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the game, Eloy Richmond cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sterling Weller was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sterling Weller didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eloy Richmond went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-4 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Patricia Trejo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sterling Weller made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Eloy Richmond sent off a good shot on target. After 58 played minutes Drinkwater AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marc Lacombe. 59 minutes into the match, Isaiah Morrison had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dudley Chavis. Drinkwater AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Isaiah Morrison was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Isaiah Morrison in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dudley Chavis saved Drinkwater AFC from getting behind. 68 minutes into the match, Drinkwater AFC's Eloy Richmond sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sterling Weller narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Anson's Patricia Trejo in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Drinkwater AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Thanh Vera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A well-hit corner resulted in Willian Felder heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. In the 85thth minute of the game Patricia Trejo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Drinkwater AFC's Dudley Chavis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rodney McKnight sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Drinkwater AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
