Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jame Shaw got the match started through his kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Thanh Vera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drinkwater AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Thanh Vera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigue Eckert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanh Vera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jame Shaw was extremely unlucky when he, in the 15th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 19 played minutes Drinkwater AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eric Meier. Clifton Orozco hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. If Eloy Richmond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Richmond sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Drinkwater AFC's Dudley Chavis got control of the ball when Clifton Orozco tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Thanh Vera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Thanh Vera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rodrigue Eckert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eloy Richmond in the 52nd minute of play. Jacinto Gour hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Dudley Chavis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jame Shaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanh Vera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Thanh Vera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Meier got in the 73rd minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Rodrigue Eckert. This was a shot which ended in a score of 0-1. Eloy Richmond could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Rodrigue Eckert made a huge save. Warner's Rodrigue Eckert played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thanh Vera in the 85th minute of play. Eloy Richmond might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rodrigue Eckert. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eloy Richmond ran back to his position shaking his head. Dudley Chavis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clifton Orozco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Clifton Orozco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Drinkwater AFC played a much better game than Warner and deserved their victory. The Warner players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
