When Hylo's Kim Hawley in the 5th minute got a chance for a shot 5th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cadillac's goalie prevented a goal. Cadillac's Matt Kurtz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pasquale Laderoute in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pasquale Laderoute in the 9th minute of play forced Cadillac's goalkeeper Matt Kurtz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Jackie Colbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hylo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jackie Colbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matt Kurtz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jackie Colbert in the 12th minute of play forced Cadillac's goalkeeper Matt Kurtz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hylo's Max Mansfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilford Colvin in the 14th minute of play. Cadillac's Wilford Colvin managed to work through Hylo's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Wilford Colvin dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Matt Kurtz came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Hylo's Kim Hawley. But to his dismay, Kim Hawley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Max Mansfield showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilford Colvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 30th match minute, Hylo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Columbus Aaron to maneuver through the defense. Wilford Colvin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Max Mansfield made a huge save. Wilford Colvin might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Max Mansfield. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilford Colvin ran back to his position shaking his head. Matt Kurtz came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Hylo's Jackie Colbert. But to his dismay, Jackie Colbert quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Cadillac players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hylo were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pasquale Laderoute made a kick off. Max Mansfield took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Buford Laberge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Hylo's Matt Kurtz threw himself towards the right post 60 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Pasquale Laderoute, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 61st match minute, Cadillac was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Buford Laberge to maneuver through the defense. Hylo's Max Mansfield played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brent Trottier in the 68th minute of play. Jackie Colbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Matt Kurtz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Pasquale Laderoute had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilford Colvin in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max Mansfield prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Cadillac's Theron Clements in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hylo's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 88 minutes, Pasquale Laderoute managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hylo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pasquale Laderoute was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Theron Clements sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Hylo eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
