In the 10th minute of the match Bobby Walters shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Max Mansfield showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kim Hawley's late challenge caught a Rosswood AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kim Hawley helped the player get up and apologised. Columbus Aaron hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. After having played for 23 minutes, Aurelien Richmond managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rosswood AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelien Richmond was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rosswood AFC's Noah Boulanger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pasquale Laderoute in the 24th minute of play. Noah Boulanger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kim Hawley, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Jackie Colbert managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hylo's supporters rose to their feet, but Jackie Colbert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Noah Boulanger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lorenzo Wright's late challenge caught a Hylo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lorenzo Wright helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Rosswood AFC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Lorenzo Wright hit a great ball. Jackie Colbert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Noah Boulanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sydney McFarland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Mansfield having to interfere. Del Lévesque hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After 46 played minutes, Hylo's Juste Parks shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Noah Boulanger came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hylo reached it. Pasquale Laderoute received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Noah Boulanger tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pasquale Laderoute made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Earle Eddy in the 56th minute of play forced Hylo's goalkeeper Max Mansfield to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sydney McFarland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Max Mansfield having to interfere. If Sydney McFarland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Sydney McFarland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Max Mansfield. Hylo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sydney McFarland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Jackie Colbert might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Noah Boulanger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jackie Colbert ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd match minute, Hylo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juste Parks to maneuver through the defense. After 73 played minutes, Rosswood AFC's Neil Griffith shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Max Mansfield came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rosswood AFC reached it. 96 minutes into the game, Guadalupe Jolicoeur was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hylo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rosswood AFC the free kick. The supporters of Rosswood AFC booed when Hylo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guadalupe Jolicoeur didn't get a good kick on the ball.
