Shabagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Carl Fritz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jose Paul breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Chibougamau's Nicholas Faucher got a free kick in the 71st minute. Carl Fritz might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jose Paul. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl Fritz ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 74th minute Carl Fritz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jose Paul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the game, Shabagua's Carl Fritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Paul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 87 minutes into the match, Chibougamau's goal looked a bit too open when Carl Fritz came free, but Jose Paul reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Paul showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carl Fritz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 93rdth minute of the game Wilbert Douglas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chibougamau's Jose Paul was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
