Lance LaCaille took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Columbus Martinez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rayford Ewing came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Burnsville fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rayford Ewing couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the game, Chester Barbour was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yarmouth FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Burnsville the free kick. In the 20th minute, Tom Milligan sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Yarmouth FC's Lance LaCaille didn't even have to move. In the 23rd minute, Columbus Martinez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Burnsville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Freddie Leduc received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Eusebio Purcell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Rueben Racicot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gaétan Grover shot from long distance in the 34th minute, but Eusebio Purcell was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Columbus Martinez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lance LaCaille read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Rayford Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lance LaCaille made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Columbus Martinez in the 44th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mario Sewell to make the kick off. After having played for 55 minutes, Columbus Martinez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burnsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Columbus Martinez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th minute, Rayford Ewing got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Yarmouth FC's zone, Columbus Martinez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lance LaCaille came out of the goal and Columbus Martinez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lance LaCaille made an important save on a dangerous shot by Columbus Martinez in the 82nd minute. Columbus Martinez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance LaCaille having to interfere. Columbus Martinez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Lance LaCaille made a huge save. Lance LaCaille was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rayford Ewing showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 88 minute of play. When Burnsville's Rayford Ewing, in the 94th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Burnsville. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rayford Ewing in the 96th minute of play forced Yarmouth FC's goalkeeper Lance LaCaille to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Yarmouth FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Burnsville were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
