The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Junior Ruel in the 3rd minute of play forced Richmond's goalkeeper Prosper Osborn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Prosper Osborn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Damian Person's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Prosper Osborn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Junior Ruel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 15 minutes, Damian Person mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pacofi FC and the Richmond players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 16th match minute, Pacofi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Person to maneuver through the defense. When Gratien Jackson came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Richmond fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gratien Jackson couldn't finish the play. If Junior Ruel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 28 minutes into the match, Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Person came free, but Prosper Osborn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damian Person sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pacofi FC booed when Richmond was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gratien Jackson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Richmond's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Person came free, but Prosper Osborn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gratien Jackson charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gratien Jackson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claude Rushing made a kick off. In the 55th minute of the match, Junior Ruel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Prosper Osborn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Damian Person sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Prosper Osborn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Person in the 60th minute of play. Prosper Osborn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Person in the 62nd minute of the match. Pacofi FC's Junior Ruel got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes in the game, Damian Person fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. Damian Person received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Prosper Osborn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Prosper Osborn was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Damian Person showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-1 in the 80 minute of play. When Junior Ruel came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Pacofi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Junior Ruel couldn't finish the play. If Damian Person had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Damian Person fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Pacofi FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
