The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 5 minutes on the clock, Colombe McCann commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 7th minute, the referee gave Shabagua a penalty. Rosendo McFarland looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Renato Hamlin. Renato Hamlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilbert Douglas in the 18th minute of the match. Wilbert Douglas was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 20th minute. Shabagua's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 21st minute, Mitch Butts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Renato Hamlin made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Carl Fritz sent off a good shot on target. If Wilbert Douglas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nominingue's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Carl Fritz scored to the left of an out of position Renato Hamlin, making the score, 3-0. 39 minutes into the game, Rosendo McFarland was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shabagua's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nominingue the free kick. After 39 played minutes Shabagua got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo McFarland. Carl Fritz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Renato Hamlin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 46 minutes, Wilbert Douglas took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Renato Hamlin to make any attempt to save it. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Wilbert Douglas made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Burl Covillon was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nominingue's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shabagua the free kick. After 52 played minutes Nominingue got a freekick which was hit by Burl Covillon. 54 minutes into the match, Shabagua's Carl Fritz sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Renato Hamlin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Francis Brock made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Quentin Belanger sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Shabagua getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Thad Lyle hit a great ball. Quentin Belanger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Renato Hamlin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carl Fritz in the 74th minute of play. After some careless play in the Shabagua defense, Quentin Belanger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Francis Brock. The Shabagua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Francis Brock should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Nominingue booed when Shabagua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Louie Carpenter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd minute, Quentin Belanger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Renato Hamlin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carl Fritz in the 89th minute of the match. Shabagua's Francis Brock proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Shabagua from getting a goal against them. Shabagua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
