Rémi Bishop started the match with the kick off. Chibougamau's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Rémi Bishop scored to the left of an out of position Jose Paul, making the score, 1-0. If Mario Sewell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the game, Yarmouth FC's Mario Sewell nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jose Paul made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Chibougamau's Jose Paul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rémi Bishop in the 16th minute of play. Mario Sewells short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Jose Paul to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 17th match minute, Chibougamau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrison Robillard to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bernie Capps in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lance LaCaille saved Yarmouth FC from getting behind. After having played for 24 minutes, Nicholas Faucher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chibougamau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Faucher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th match minute, Chibougamau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrison Robillard to maneuver through the defense. Rémi Bishop struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jose Paul didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yarmouth FC. In the 35th match minute, Yarmouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chester Barbour to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Chibougamau's Alec Jack tried to score from far away in the 36th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nicholas Faucher's late challenge caught a Yarmouth FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicholas Faucher helped the player get up and apologised. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernie Capps made a kick off. After 52 minutes, Noel Rivière mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Yarmouth FC and the Chibougamau players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Yarmouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Rivière to maneuver through the defense. Nicholas Faucher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lance LaCaille having to interfere. Lance LaCaille was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicholas Faucher showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 64 minute of play. In the 69th minute, Nicholas Faucher made a precise shot to the right of Lance LaCaille. Yarmouth FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Bernie Capps received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Lance LaCaille tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Chibougamau's Lance LaCaille threw himself towards the right post 80 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Bernie Capps, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 85th match minute, Yarmouth FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toussaint Abraham to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match, Bernie Capps tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lance LaCaille saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Chibougamau getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Marty Audet hit a great ball. After having played for 92 minutes, Nicholas Faucher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chibougamau's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Faucher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
