Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruce Bates kicked off to start the match. Burnsville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Columbus Martinez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Prosper Osborn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rayford Ewing's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Claude Rushing fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusebio Purcell having to interfere. Eusebio Purcell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruce Bates in the 21st minute of play. After 22 minutes of play, Richmond's Claude Rushing made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eusebio Purcell was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rueben Racicot during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Claude Rushing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claude Rushing in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eusebio Purcell saved Burnsville from getting behind. 33 minutes in the game, Rayford Ewing fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Prosper Osborn having to interfere. Columbus Martinez struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Prosper Osborn didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Burnsville. In the 40th minute, Rueben Racicot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carol Yazzie took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 41st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eusebio Purcell. Burnsville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rayford Ewing sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th match minute, Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jérôme Rodgers to maneuver through the defense. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rayford Ewing to strike the kick off in the second half. Burnsville's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Bruce Bates scored to the left of an out of position Eusebio Purcell, making the score, 1-2. 71 minutes into the match, Richmond's Bruce Bates sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusebio Purcell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Columbus Martinez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Prosper Osborn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
